About the artwork:

Minowa, Kanasugi, Mikawashima (No. 102) is a woodblock print from the celebrated series One Hundred Famous Views of Edo by Japanese artist Utagawa Hiroshige. Created in 1857, the work depicts two elegant red-crowned cranes standing in a quiet marshland northwest of the Yoshiwara pleasure district in Edo (modern-day Tokyo).
Hiroshige was renowned for his poetic landscapes and masterful compositions, which captured both the natural beauty and everyday life of Japan. In this scene, the graceful cranes—symbols of longevity and good fortune—stand amid tall grasses beneath a vast sky, creating a serene and contemplative atmosphere.
Part of one of the most influential print series in Japanese art, this image reflects Hiroshige’s ability to transform an ordinary landscape into a moment of quiet beauty and reflection.

Is this a poster or a fine art print?

This is a museum-quality fine art print, not a standard poster. It is printed on archival matte paper using giclée printing, which offers superior detail, depth, and longevity.

What does “archival paper” mean?

Archival paper is acid-free and lignin-free, meaning it won’t yellow or degrade over time. Your print is made to last for decades while maintaining its original color and quality.

Will the print have glare?

No. The matte finish prevents reflections and glare, making it ideal for bright rooms and allowing you to see the artwork clearly from any angle.

What is giclée printing?

Giclée is a high-resolution pigment printing process used for professional art reproductions. It produces richer colors, smoother gradients, and longer-lasting prints compared to standard printing.

Does it come framed?

You can choose an optional handmade wooden frame with premium plexiglass, crafted to the highest standards in Italy from sustainably sourced timber. Each frame is designed to complement the artwork and arrives ready to hang. Frames come with user-friendly turning clips on the back, making it easy to mount the print in the frame yourself. All our frames can be hung both vertically and horizontally.

Is this suitable as a gift?

Yes — the quality, materials, and presentation make it a premium gift option, especially for art lovers and design-focused interiors.

Which size should I choose?

You can choose between three available size options:

S = 30×40 cm
Fits desks, shelves, or small corners—easy to frame and perfect for adding a personal touch. This size works well as a gift or a subtle decorative accent.

M = 40×50 cm
Balanced and versatile. Ideal for walls in bedrooms and offices—makes an artful statement without overwhelming the room.

L = 50×70 cm
Big and bold. Creates a centerpiece for your favorite wall, bringing color, style, and personality to your space.

The frame measurements refer to the size of prints it fits. The actual frame size is slightly bigger, depending on your selected frame profile and size. Frames have a 1.5 cm width and depth.
